Description

We are looking for a skilled OpenShift Administrator with 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing containerized environments, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting development teams in deploying scalable, reliable microservices.

Responsibilities

Cluster Management:

Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of OpenShift environments.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

Monitor system performance, log files, and resource utilization.

Diagnose and resolve issues with pods, nodes, containers, networking, and storage.

Deployment Support:

Support CI/CD pipeline integrations and troubleshoot build/deployment issues.

Manage application lifecycle and perform rollout/rollback activities as required.

Security & Compliance:

Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), secrets management, and container security best practices.

Apply security patches and maintain compliance with organizational standards.

Automation & Scripting:

Automate routine operational tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.

Implement GitOps or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools for OpenShift operations.

Collaboration & Documentation:

Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and App teams to support development and operations.

Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident reports.

 

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as an OpenShift/Kubernetes administrator.

Strong understanding of containers, Docker, and Kubernetes concepts.

Experience with Red Hat OpenShift 4.x (on-prem or cloud).

Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and shell scripting.

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, etc.).

Knowledge of networking, load balancers, and persistent storage in a container environment.

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK stack.

Red Hat certifications (e.g., EX280 – Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration) are a plus.
